Personal Fonts for those with Poor Hand Dexterity and Disabilities
Why use a custom font? If you have lost the ability to handwrite due to hand dexterity issues, injury or illness, Corien can help you regain that personal touch again, when typing letters on your computer, by using your existing handwriting samples to create a font based on your personal style. This is great for anyone who sufferers from a Spinal Cord injury (such as Quadriplegia), Amputee, Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's Disease and many other disabilities, which make it difficult or impossible to handwrite. How do I get my custom font? Simply fill out the order form on Corien's website. If for some reason you are unable to provide the completed Font Character Sheet (perhaps due to illness, injury, or disability, or if you want a handwriting font of a friend or relative who has passed away) you can also send (copies of ) whatever written material you do have. Characters that are not present in the material (letters/journals/notes) will not be represented in the font (if only very few are missing, Corien may be able to reproduce what they would have looked like, but this cannot be guaranteed). Once Corien has received the Font Character Sheet (or all characters on white unlined paper) and the writing sample, either scanned or via snail mail, she will send you a confirmation email, and keep you up to date on the progress. Corien can also e-mail you a working sample if needed, to make sure the font resembles the writing as closely as possible. She will email the completed font after she has received payment (PayPal). How do I use my custom font? You can install the font onto your computer, and then you will be able to use your custom True Type Font in all applications (Microsoft Word/Adobe CS/Paintshop Pro...). The font can also be used with a voice recognition software (or alternative method of text entry) to produce seemingly 'handwritten' correspondance.
