I'd love to play again too, but can't see it being too much fun now unless you like to get shot at hahah. But i guess there's a way of playing, when there's a will there's a way!

Need to develop some sort of rule system pitting gimp against gimp, perhaps with a team point structure simaler to that of rugby or basketball

I've been thinking about this alot actually. The issues I'm seeing is that YOu can't really run and gun. As slow as it is to take off if someone is posted up your just a big target to hit. Then youd have to have dorito sized bunkers to tuck into. Can't really get inot a snake either. God I miss it but I can't figure it out. At least like I use to play.

Id love to paint ball, all my friends did it in the spring for some ones birthday! Ive never thought it was possible as its set in the woods along from me, and yeah id pretty much be the target! Unless ur allowedd to use a quadbike or something along those lines??? cos that would make it easier i think anyway! May not be able to hide but atleast u can move quicker!

Wow! thats a great idea, "Quadbike paintballing!" Now that would be fun, it would have to be in a wooded area and maybe have some tunnels for quick escape routes. Hmmm we should go ito business biggrin.gif

Was a brilliant idea! I was thinking about it a few weeks ago, i dont see why you shouldnt be allowed, you would either have to borrow one from a farmer friend or if u have ur own, as long as the paint washes off! cos even if u are parked behind a tree if ur body is hidden u wont get hit as much! Either the only other less cool version is a mobilty scooter!! lol.

As a disabled sport, I would say:

Concealment seems stupid for wheelchair warriors. Perhaps the model should be open tank warfare.

Comfortable indoor and flat for maximum mobility.

Joystick controlled electric chairs so you can drive one handed and shoot at the same time.

I would suggest a dry hockey rink for a play area.

Zone based off-side rules, so that mixing it up at close range is limited enough so the encounter makes sense. Very simple would be a protected ed zone for each team and a central open zone. Then there would be rules for when and how and how many people can cross the lines.

With moving targets at those distances, you would have to be a very good shot. And the best shot, would be a clear winner.

So then the question must be asked. Do you just want to bang away at each other, or are you interested in a sport which would ask you to really shoot a pistol?

Personally, I would sign on AT ONCE for a sport as described above.

Best Regards,

Gordon

Hmm, I'm picturing 2 5 man teams in a capture the flag type game with the flag type game with the flag located in a bunker where the net would be and two defensive bunkers on the blue lines. And only allow 2 prople across the centre line at a time and you must either eliminate all of the other team or get the flag from the other team back to your goal bunker. Hmm, yes, it's all coming together . . .

So it's nearly 5am and I can't sleep, so I whipped up some preliminary rules. Let me know what you think and what changes you think should be made.

Wheelchair Paintball

The game is played in a hockey arena or simaler setting. Two U shaped scoring bunkers are located where the hockey goals would normally be and two shelters are created on each blue line. Each team consists of 5 players classed simaler to that of wheelchair basketball (details below).

• Class I - Complete motor loss at T-7 or above or comparable disability where there is total loss of muscle function originating at or above T 7.
• Class II - Complete motor loss originating at T-8 and descending through and including L-2 where there may be motor power of hips and thighs. Also included in this class are amputees with bilateral hip disarticulation.
• Class III - All other physical disabilities as related to lower extremity paralysis or paresis originating at or below L-3. All lower extremity amputees are included in this class except those with bilateral hip disarticulation (see Class II)

Each classification will be given a numerical value or factor as follows: Class 1: 1 value point Class II: 2 value points Class III: 3 value points.
At no time in a game shall a team have players participating with total points greater than twelve (12) on the floor at the same time.

The object of the game is to either eliminate all the players on the other team by shooting them or by capturing the other teams flag and returning it to your own scoring bunker. In order for a goal to be awarded both flags must be in your bunker, so if your flag is captured and your opponents flag is not in their bunker you have a chance to recapture your flag.

If a player falls play is halted until that player can be up righted. All players are then aloud to return to shelter on their own side. The flags return to their original location and the game is restarted.

If a player intentionally falls in order to cease play or stop the other team from scoring and the other team has possession of the flag play continues until the appropriate time as long as the player is in no immediate physical danger. The player is then disqualified for the remainder of the round.

Simaler to tennis, the game is divided into rounds with the winner being determined by a best 2/3, 3/5, ect scenario. The number of rounds is determined before the game begins.

Yo i put a post about paintball last year and i did not get any responses like this. I played when injured and it is still fun as ever! Its the best when you shoot your friends in the face and laugh at them they got sniped by a cripple! hahaha. Can not really play in woods tho. You need to play in a airball or hyperball field. If you plan on getting some paras together to play i am so down!
