It is very early days, but my wife is pregnant. I am both excited and very apprehensive. This will be our second child, but the first since I had my accident and I admit I am very worried about how I will cope. I already find my 6 year old son to be very hard work now that I am not 100% physically.

Congrats to you and your wife. Worrying about the future with two kids is a diddle in the park compared to worrying if you didn't get pregnant. All the best for your full life that is about to become even fuller.

I know, and it has taken a while for this to happen (both my problems over the last year) and my wife having Polycystic Ovaries, so we are both delighted, but I can't help but worry.

Congratulations William ~ It's just natural to worry, but I'm sure you'll do fine. You may want to find interesting ways to keep the children entertained if you need a break and also think of what to do if you need to be firm with them and be sure they don't take advantage of your disability. I know my stepchildren both told me they used to do things b/c they knew they could get away with it since their dad was in a wheelchair, but when I came along, they didn't behave this way. I had enough kid time with 3 nephews, 5 nieces, 2 stepchildren and now 3 grandchildren. Oh, you don't mean actually having kids . . . you're referring to the act of trying Geez, silly me!
