So I'm curious to see if the cold weather makes your joints curl. I'm here in Seattle Washington and it's been snowing the last few days. It's probably around 38° and even lower on some of the days. I'm wondering if your joints are curling because of the cold weather and if you've been in it before.

Any feedback on the situation would be much obliged.

Happy Holidays,

Dexter

Anyway, to answer your questions my joints do get really stiff in the cold. I'm in kansas so i know how you feel about the weather! Its currently about 15 degrees outside and we are under an ice storm warning...fantastic...UGH! Back on topic though, I don't know if I'd call it curling, but my joints due get really stiff and it I start to lose my flexibility which is a pain in the ass trying to get and out of the car and such. The best thing I can tell you to do us stretch! I'm not sure how well you could do this yourself, but you can always get someone else to help you out. I have to stretch every day anyway to help reduce spasms, but i have to do it even more in the winter.

I also find that the frigged temps make my spine ache right where it broke sad.gif I don't know why though. I just keep reminding myself that once i'm done with school i'm off to a warmer climate!

HEY dexter! I'm also in Seattle!!! What is up with all this snow....I mean, seriously. It never snows this much.

To answer your question, my joints do get kind of stiff in the cold, but only really after I've been outside for a while (like yesterday when my sister hauled me outside to sled lol), and not too bad even then. I would also try stretching and the like....I don't know if that'll help, but it's worth a shot. tongue.gif

Oh, and Nichole...when it's really cold (like really really cold, like now) my spine aches right where it broke too. It's not just you! rolleyes.gif

Seattle Represent! Thank God it finally cleared out. I was on day 10 of being stuck inside. This is the most snow our state has seen in over 30 years. Everybody was going crazy here in the Northwest.

Hello Dexter -

Used to live in Eastern Oregon - not far from Pendleton. Live in Nor CA currently. Got a call from my son (still up north) last week. 20" of snow on the farm! Damn - that was the most they'd had since the 60's. Nasty cold. Froze up solid for a week +. Pain in the butt having to break the ice in the trough for the animals. Oh well, somebody's gotta do it.

As for curling joints - My fiance and I went camping a couple months ago. Before the cold weather hit. We had plenty of warm clothing, sleeping gear, etc. I thought we were in great shape. I've camped, mountain climbed - you name it - when I was AB. But I froze my ass off that first night. My joints didn't curl up - my whole body did! Couldn't stop shaking for 12 hours! Needless to say, next time we go camping, I'm taking a furnace!

What the hell (pun intended) - stay warm somehow!
