The government are announcing their shake up in incapacity benefit and disabled benefits today. They are also expected to announce plans to get people with ingrown toe nails back to work.
Anyone else a wee bit worried about the shake up ???

Not particularly worried about the shake up. Reckon I can prove my incapabity no bother since my recent accident!!
However, although I get some benefits, I still go out to work full-time and am thankful that I can. I know a guy, injured in Iraq, who lost both legs and he works full-time too.
Regardless of that - I know a helluva lot of folk who COULD work but DONT. Instead their full-time salary is their benefits. There lives beside me a chappie who can walk and use his hands but he claims council tax rebate (says he uses a chair all the time in the house) - he walks. Also claims "free" telephone books (sayd he cannot use his hands) - again, he is quicker looking up a book than I am!!
So, to those who really need them - no worries. To those who are bleeding the system I say - shake them up harder than the guy from "Bleak House!!" Perhaps once the "bleeders" are out of the way then the ones who really need the system will be treated better.
Like everything else it is the ones who require the serviecs who get penalised because of the ones who abuse it - they never get caught.
