Hello everyone! Although I have visited the website on numerous occasions, I am new to this forum.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with our program, SCI-Step, located in Mason, Ohio is an out-patient PT clinic that focuses specifically on SCI. Our patients ranges from those wanting to improve their independence with daily living to those wanting to work, drive or even walk again. The clinic was started after a friend was injured in 2002. Today, we see patients from all over the world with all types of injury levels. We are medical based and follow all of the latest rehab and activity based models.

Along the way, I met and fell for a T12 SCI and so not only has this injury consumed my professional life, but now my personal life. As I mentioned in another thread, I've been thinking about taking advantage of their free trial week for a while now. Well, I sent in my application last week and I'll be attending their program from Monday June 29th through Thursday July 2nd.

I was lucky to get in so quickly, as they are currently booking free trial weeks for September and October. They were also able to give me free accessible housing for the week. The only cost to me is a $200 deposit to hold my spot and for any damages to the housing unit, which will be returned to me at the end of the week

Normally, the trial program includes three hours training per day for five days. However, since they will be closed on Friday July 3rd for Independance Day, I will receive four hours of training for four days. That should leave me pretty well worn out by Thursday night (probably well before then), especially since I plan on attending two or three Cincinnati Reds (my favorite team) games while I'm in the area.

While my wife and I are taking the trip, we are going to go to Chicago the weekend before SCI-Step to attend the Abilities Expo. I hope to check out some exercise equipment that may be of use in the new exercise room I'm putting in my house.

I'll post a review of SCI-Step in this thread after I get back home for anyone interested.
