My name is Stacey, and I have an issue I could use advice on. I am a girl with long hair that needs to be dried after washing. Because of my limited hand use, I need a dryer on a stand. For years I have used one (Comare's Superduck 1600) that I found through a pet grooming Web site. Unfortunately, the dryer is now broken, the product has been discontinued, and the company has apparently gone out of business.
I am looking for a dryer on a stand, that has easy to use buttons. Does anyone know of a product that fits this description, and where I could find it? I would really appreciate any information.

I have long hair too - curly so if I dont blow dry it and straighten it it goes beserk!

sounds to me like you need a stand that you can clamp a 'normal' hairdrier on.
Us Kiwis get very inventive!!

What you also need is a handy person who could rig something up for you. good luck!

I did a quick search, and it seems that the stands are often sold apart from the dryer. I thought this one looked durable and it's reasonbly priced:

Here is something I came across...not a hair dryer, but it dries your entire body.

If you search some disability or arthritis sites, you'll probably find some dryers with easy to manage buttons, etc.
