I have a heater next to my bed and my knee had spasmed up and was resting directly on the heater. I woke up in the middle of the note and wedged a duvet in between my knee and the heater and turned it off...

When I woke up this morning I had a look and it was much worse than I anticipated. There were 2 yellowy blisters, one of which had burst and the whole are was generally red and sore...I immediately applied some sudocream which is an antiseptic cream for anything from nappy rash and acne to sunburn etc.

How should I treat it? It's not really bad I don't think and my leg hasn't been especially spasmy as a result of it but if I could feel it it would pretty painful I reckon lol. Should I be careful in the shower about getting hot water on it?

All advice appreciated!

Thanks, Ryan.

Haha, yeah fair comment...

Just had another look and the sudocream has sorted it out pretty much...most of the redness has gone, both blisters have gone down and it's basicallly a reddish white mark now...think it'll be ok...I'll put some sudocream on daily until it's sorted.

Cheers, Ryan.

I put a plate to rest just above my knee area last August. I was cooking and the plate was cold, but somehow the under rim had sucked some heat from my cooker hob and before I had time to realize I burnt the area pretty badly.

I was told afterwards the worst thing to do was to put cream on it ( even though it was the first thing I did!) They are best left alone to heal, let the blister burst naturally if you get one. It was a real nuisiance having one trouser leg rolled up for weeks, let alone looking like a freemason!

I did put gauze on the area when I had to go out and about, but kept to wearing baggy trousers.
If in doubt go see a nurse/Dr.

Hope it heals soon.

It's pretty much healed now smile.gif

Basically what happened was it kinda went hollow under the scab and was leaking a browny puss like substance, in the end I pulled the scab off and cleaned it all up and since then it's healed pretty well. Think it just needed air to get to it.
