I have just watched Slum Dog Millionaire and it was excellent. I know that any film that wins 8 Oscars should be pretty good but I was still surprised.
I can highly recommend it!

Well, last night I watched The Last Unicorn. Seriously. I bought it on DVD, got all nostalgic since it was my absolute hands down favorite movie as a kid, and it was still as awesome (yet much cheesier) as I remember it. It's a freakin' classic. Anyone in their late 20s and early 30s should know what movie I'm talking about. It's a cartoon.

Yep, I've given a couple of copies of that away to a few people newly injured and in rehab thinking that their life is over.
The Wrestler was suprisingly pretty good and damn Marisa Tomei was hot.
Wanting to get out and watch the new Start Trek and new Terminator coming out later this week.
Watched 7 lbs a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty damn good also.
Quantum of Solace was not a good Bond movie.
I'm so glad my brother introduced me to Redbox at Wal-Mart. I hadn't rented a movie in years, but now I have pretty much 2 or 3 times a week for the last 3 or 4 weeks.

I just saw Star Trek. Growing up outside of the US, while I was aware of the show and had seen a few episodes, I didn't know it well. I was more of a Doctor Who fan! I loved the new movie. It was exactly what you want from a summer blockbuster: it was fun. Loud, entertaining, don't-think-too-much-about-the-science fun.

Yea 13 Warrior was a good movie, wife was watching it on TV last night.
Wolverine was ok, but to much special effects that looked like special effects to me.
I'm not a trekie(sp?) but the Star Trek movie was pretty damn good. Of course tons of special effects like Wolverine, but they were done very good and didn't look like half the movie had the actors filmed in front of a blue screen. My wife who is also not a trekie and probably hasn't ever watched any of the original left the movie wanting to go dig up some of the old shows to watch it, so I recommend this movie more then any others I have seen in the last year or two.

Guess what was in my mailbox today, a gift from NetFlix; The Wrestler. I'm a big fan of Mickey Rourke's, have been since I saw him in The Pope Of Greenwich Village with Eric Roberts...a great movie if you haven't seen it...Body Heat and Domino aren't to bad either.
