I got this email from SCI Resource Center. If anyone is interested here is a study on nerve pain after SCI.

The main purpose of the research study is to evaluate if the study medication may be effective in relieving chronic nerve pain after spinal cord injury. The study will also assess if there are any side effects related to this medication, and will evaluate the safety and effect of the study medication compared with a placebo (inactive substance). To find out if you qualify for this study, you will need to attend a screening visit at a participating medical facility in your area.

You may not qualify if:
• You have pain associated with conditions other than spinal cord injury
• You anticipate needing surgery during the course of the study
• You have other medical conditions that would interfere with study participation
If you do qualify to take part in this study, you will need to attend 8 study visits over 5 months. The study medication (or placebo) comes in capsule form, which you will be asked to take twice a day. The study doctor will assess your response to the medication.
