I agree with you as well.
Being just 5 years post I can recall many things that i have done that I was told "you can't". More often than not I have done said things to prove to myself that it can be done. Sometimes after going through with whatever activity it may be I will realize that it no longer fits into my life and the juice is just no longer worth the squeeze... sometimes the squeezing is just too rough on the old equipment ya know... and as for the other more personally rewarding activities.... well if you aren't living then you're dying.
One of my favorite sayings is "you play you pay". That being said I absolutely love to play and do so much harder than most, also now I see payment as a part of the game. Being disabled we have to do more with less... and we rely on that same "less" once back from the trails or after the race. Nothing like having to switch to a southpaw for your program because you pissed off the old tennis elbow, or metacarpals again.
OK I'm getting off my

I think I'm just grumpy cause I'm seeing more of the paying as of late, just figured out today gotta do repairs on the car I just bought to fill the gap for the truck I bent the frame on last month jumping hills out back, I probably never should have widened those 4 wheeler trails huh...did I mention that I liked to play.
