Wow, it's been awhile since I visited this forum and am happy to see all the horse topics! While I don't have SCI, I do have a nueromuscular disorder which affects my whole body. I use crutches and sometimes a wheelchair, but when I am on my horse I can leave those behind smile.gif My husband and I have 4 horses, and all we do is trail ride. Here's a video of me and my horse Jypsi:

Cool! Jypsi is very pretty. (Off topic, but I also ski. I was recently given my own mono, an old Shadow that was fixed up for me, and I'm superexcited for next season!! I still want to buy a Revolution Pro Comp but that will have to wait for a while). I'm planning to take a friend of mine up to the barn tonight and put him on my horse, Teddy (9 year old off-the-track Thoroughbred). He's ridden horses before on things like trail rides but he lost a bet to me, and now he has to get on Teddy and gallop him around for a while, haha. We'll see if he stays on.

It might be better if Simon merges this thread into the main Horsey thread, though. It's getting a little complicated trying to follow all the different horse talk threads! tongue.gif

I love my horses I have been riding since I was very young. Riding was one of the first things I wanted to learn how to do again. I'm so glad that I can still do it. It is a lot different now but I still love it
