Never be sorry for asking a question,,, there are no stupid questions,, only stupid answers.

This may sound dumb (see above), but whenever I have had similar problems,, I let it air out,,, quite literally, let it all hang out,,

I wore a towel across my lap whenever I was at home. The two episodes I had cleared up quickly. I did use a VERY THIN application of an antibiotic ointment as well, to guard against infection.

You didn't mention, but was there any signs of infection? If so, see your doc.

no infection yet. the biopsy showed no cancer. the urologist thinks were he caths his self it is causing trauma to the sore causing it not to heal. this sore has been there for about a year and a half. the doctor put a cath that will stay in for a few weeks to see if the sore will heal. it worries me. i told him about letting it hang out about a week ago. hopefully it will help . thank you so much for replying .

If your boyfriend is uncircumcised, moisture and excess catheter lubrication can build up between showers. Moisture, plus the friction of foreskin against the head of his penis, plus time , and you can have serious issues, for what it's worth.

Hope you resolve his issue quick.

First of all don't use any antibiotics(AB) creams because the wound can become resistant to antibiotics and then it is very hard to heal.
AB are used after laboratory examination of the wound's bacteria.
Second: He must have at least small erections every day to get constant stream of fresh blood to the wound. If blood circulation isn't good the healing is very, very slow.
