Wasnt sure where to put this posting so anyway....

I have had achilles tendon pain for some years now, and was offered ankle fusion surgery a couple of years ago and refused. Over the last 6 months however, my tendons seem to be getting tighter and tighter, more and more painful and my feet are starting to get rather 'pointy'. More importantly its getting very very painful, I cant sleep with my feet touching the bed, and pain relief meds has never really helped much. I stretch all the time, constanly in an effort to relieve the pain, but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have any suggestions, to be honest the pain is so acute in my ankles I'd consider anything to get some respite.

cheers

Sorry I can't help you I have a bac/morphine pump that takes care of most of my pain, but I can relate on tyhe drop foot and tight muscles. It's hard to find shoes to fit. The other day I had a wheelchair eval and the therapist pushed my foot forward and I almost stood straight up. It hurt soo bad. I think she pulled something. Anyway, Good Luck in your quest. Tammy
