i have just noticed a big red lump on my leg above my knee?? it wasnt there a few hour ago and i havent been out of bed so i dont know what it could be. dont really want to go to hospital if it is nothing but it is quite big..... any ideas???

lol defo not a spider bite, dont think we have anything in the uk what could do this!!!its just weird how it has just appeared from no where it is quite a big bump and bright red.

Put a cool pack on it and see if the swelling goes down. If not you might be best phoning NHS direct.

yea that what i was thinking, i havent been out of hospital too long and this the 1st thing that has got me worried lol never had owt like this before, strange 1!!

if you start to run a fever go to the doctor . my boyfriend had mrsa last year alot. hopefully it will just go away.

Insect bite?
You could try some insect bite cream on it.
If it was a horsefly bite, they can really swell up.
