I started taking prescribed sleeping medication about two years ago... I have changed it up due to side effects i.e. HEADACHES in the morning.

I have noticed that my memory isn't as "sharp" as it used to be. Now I know I'm getting older, but being 27, I would think my memory wouldn't be a problem just yet.

Has anyone else noticed and/or experience anything like this or do I need to go get my head examined?? head_brick_wall-1.gif

I wouldn't think you need your head examined!! It sounds more like a side effect from your new medication, it might be one of the side effects that wear off the more you use it. If not you might need to try another one.

27..Wow that's so old!! smile.gif nopity.gif Banging your head against that wall wont help your headaches... mfr_lol.gif

Meds often do strange things to your body; everything has a side effect. I've no idea about your memory, and as I'm pushing 70 I've forgotten what I was going to write... mfr_omg.gif

I'm on two different ones right now and the funny thing is I'm still waking up in the middle of the night. The later I take it at night the earlier I wake up in the morning. I think I have been through all of them LOL. Thanks Jules!

I'm having the same problem with Ambien. I started taking them 3 months ago and notice that I tend to forget conversion from the night before. I did ask my doctor regarding this issue. She mention that it is possible and to try a different medication... I.E. Trazodone. I also notice a increase in Headaches and Blood pressure. I'm having quite a problem with sleeping. I will be trying Lunesta next month. I will you updated.

Ambien gave me a really really bad headaches! I'm now on temazepam 30 mg & zolpidem 10 mg it seems to be working... today is the first day I woke up with a headache in quite some time.

I've noticed since I have actually been sleeping throughout the night my memory isn't as bad. However, if I had a conversation with anyone after taking my medicine, I will not remember very much the next morning ha.

Keep me updated so I can find out if it's the meds or me! smile.gif
