Hello Mike -
Recently been doing Xi Cong for w/c users, modified meditation, significant amount of exercise (lots of handcycling in addition to reg ex), and meeting with an alternative medicines physician. He practiced surgery for many years, then began to increase his Eastern bit. Beginning accupuncture therapy in a week.
All that to say this - Traditional medicine is not quick to acknowledge the efficacy of alternatives. We all know that. "Untested" (by the FDA) methods are seen as less-than-acceptable practice in the profession. Still, there seems to be a growing number of success stories floating around. Stories about something other than pharmaceutical and/or surgical therapies. Brief word of caution: It is easy to jump on the alternative bandwagon with hopes of walking again. That kind of thinking may be dangerous. Approach alternatives with healthy skepticism and thoroughly document all of your work
I am using low level led light to attempt re-innervation of sections of the colon. (Been having difficulties with bowel program.) Too soon for me to document absolute success of the light, but I continue to look for any positve reaction to the therapy. Will keep you informed. I will get the name of the particular tool that I use.
Throw yoga in the mix. See article in last month's (?) New Mobility.
