Ok, so I was invited to a friends wedding in New Orleans. I know a few of you have been, and was wondering how accessible bourbon street and the local attractions are. Also, any tips or sights I should see while down there?

Its not to bad. The sidewalks are super old so they are not in the best shape but you can still get around. You will not be able to get in most bars but hey you go to NOLA for the alcohol not to see the inside of the bar right. Jackson square is nice but the best part is bourbon street. Also if you have time stop by the aquarium. When are you going to be in town. If you let me know ahead of time i'll head over an i can show you were to get a blow job lol.

I havent been in these last two yrs.. but I had to say, the freaking aquarium is super cool. And dont forget http://www.cafedumonde.com/ Im pretty sure the bathroom there wasnt accessible but the rest of the place is just a big room/patio with tables, push some shit out of your way, you'll be fine!

i live in new orleans and my boyfriend says everything is pretty accessible. some bars you may need someone to get you a step up which most bouncers are willing to do. he said bourbon st. is good, just roll in the middle of the road instead of the sides. try harrah's (they have a nightclub in there called mascarades), cafe du monde for beignets, riverwalk, and penthouse on iberville (if you're into strip clubs). any more questions feel free to ask! i'm always out in the city so if you are wondering about a place let me know and i'll check it out for you!




the bathrooms are most definately not accessible there! most places you're f*@ked as far as bathrooms go. as far as places you can fit in try all the big daquiri shops or strip clubs.

Yeah, alot of the french quarter is sooo old.. there's usually a step up into some of the little bars, If your gonna spend some time there you should get a hotel on or around bourbon street, the Iberville suites is a cool hotel.. and you can talk them down usually, I think i used to stay there for around $90 a night during the "off season" which is now pretty much. theres a few cheap places to eat.. Felixes restaurant and oyster bar was good and cheap i remember (vaguely) .. And i know your not a huge drinker Davey boy.. but if the urge hits the booze vendors on the street are the way to go... be careful with them hand grenades.

Ok. So I will be staying in Metairie for the extent of my trip. Any good cajun resturants I should check out? i will also be driving down instead of taking the train like everyone else do to wheelchair width problems with Amtrak.

Im not a big fan of the cajun food, but if you see Turtle soup on the menu TRY IT! It taste like beef with a lil kick.. mmmmmmmmm
