Screw Jessie. One season was enough of him. I cannot STAND him. He was soo annoying last year. During the "have and have not" competition, Dan (winner from season 10) was hosting. Jessie was being a jerk, and Dan said "bitter, party of one!" Haha. I love Dan the Man.

Oh, for anyone who doesn't know the show...

13 people from around the country are put in a house with no tv, radio, electronics, books. They have NOTHING. Total confinement. Each week you compete for HOH (head of household). HOH gets a nice room, luxuries from home, and music. HOH also nominates two people for eviction. Then there is a power of veto competition where the HOH, 2 nominees, and 3 other houseguests play for veto. If they win the veto, they can take someone "off the block", and then the HOH replaces someone. Then the houseguests vote for who should be evicted.

After the first four are evicted, the next seven evicted go to a sequester house. They get to read books and watch movies and get one phone call a week, but can't do anything else. Each week after someone is evicted, they bring the tape of the competitions of the week so the others can see how things went down. Then on the finale night, the sequester house people vote between the final two on who should win the show. Prize is $500,000.

Honestly, its way addicting. Ive almost been watching since season 5, and haven't stopped since. If you haven't been watching, you totally should.

Yea I've been watching since season 1 and waiting for them to do a casting call nearby, I would love to be on the show.

If you just watch the 1 hour shows on TV then you don't get much of what is actually happening and only get to see the picture of person that they make you see from editing. I don't do the 24 hour internet feeds, but I do watch it every night when it comes on Showtime, they put up 3 hours of live feed every night. Then if something big has happened I'll go find it on one of the many sites that have people posting video's from the live internet feeds.

There have been a lot of times when I have friends that watch it and feel completely different about a person on the show then I do, they only see what they get shown.

Another reality show I'll be watching is Hell's Kitchen that starts tomorrow night. I have a friend that is going to be on it. He went to culinary school with my wife a few years back and we lived in the same apartment complex every since. I had been wondering what the hell happened to him as I hadn't seen him in awhile. Then last week while I was hanging out at the pool, he comes strolling up with a huge smile and some beer and said he'd just got back from L.A. where he'd been filming the show. Pretty damn cool, he wouldn't give me any hints about how he did though. If ya wanna watch it and root for him, his name is Van.

I couldn't tolerate Jessie last season and I was excited when he got booted. He's such an overcompensating jerk. And now that he's on steroids (clearly), I bet he's even worse. There's no one this season that I am really loving yet. I'd like to see Chima go soon because I think she's an ass. Hey, I was reading on the CBS that Russell had a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed for a while and he had a bunch of surgeries and therapies to walk again.



You should apply to be on the show. I don't watch the feeds but I follow them on the various websites when I have the time. CBS definitely edits people the way they want them to appear and I don't get why the producers of that show have such a love affair with Jessie. Last year they gave him the good guy edit, this year they've brought him back.

I also watch Hell's Kitchen because I think Gordon Ramsay is awesome. That's cool about Van!!

Ok, I'll admit it, I've watched Big Brother since season one. This year, though, I've only seen the first episode. I've moved to a new house and we still haven't got our cable hooked up. I think my wife is about ready to divorce me if it's not installed soon.

Anyway, I hate Jessie. I was hoping that Cowboy would make it back on, at least he'll give you a good consistent laugh.

Not sure when I'll get caught up, but I'll definitely start watching as soon as I can.

Eek, I'm not a Cowboy fan either. He just bugged me. Of all those people, I probably would have liked to have seen that Air Force pilot or whatever he was be back on. I forget his name but he seemed like an okay guy who just played the game too hard too fast. I couldn't stand that Jessica girl either. Remember she started dating that guy who was on the show with her? I can't remember his name. I think it's clear that they are no longer together judging by the look of disdain on her face when she mentioned him.

Yea, Jessica dated Eric. I couldn't stand either of them. They broke up shortly after episode 1 from season 9. I lalalalove me some Donato though . I loved Daniele. She was so effin cute. It sucks her and Nick didn't work out. & he got together with that whore Jen.

Yeah Hells Kitchen starts tonight, 21st. I wanted to see Cowboy back, but just because my wife hates him. He went to the same school she did in high school, small town Oklahoma and lives in the town that we met at while going to college(which is also small town Oklahoma) and thinks me makes every one that lives in Southern Oklahoma look like dumb ass hicks, which he does.

I was not a fan of that Donato whine bag. Jessie is like godfather this year to half the house, they think since he was on it before, even though he wasn't there long, that he has all the answers, so when he talks he has a little gathering around him listening. The only thing more dumb ass then that is that the other half of the house know it, but then they are kissing ass to Ronnie who goes and tells Jessie everything.

This year is pretty weird. Lots of blow ups early on and a big house split early on. Normally at this time the whole house is still setting down for a big supper together. Not so much right now. We don't have that one person this year that is just lying his ass off. They all lie, but then they all come clean and say their sorry for lying, every one is telling every one else everything and hell there's only been one eviction so far.

Jessie is bad, but there are more annoying in the house this year. Natalie who won't get off of his jock, Lydia, who for some reason seems to loves Jessie and is always massaging something of his. The other day she started giving him a foot massage and stood there doing it for like 30 minutes. He just doesn't seem to be one she would go for. She is a huge cry baby, any time some one has mentioned her name and she hears about it she pulls up her hoodie goes off on her own and cries.

I think this is the perfect year for some one like Ronnie, he's openly playing both sides. Telling both sides just about everything the other side says, but also making up stuff they said cause he knows the two sides are only talking to him and not each other so won't find him out. He could turn out to be very manipulative.

What a small world--that Cowboy and your wife went to the same high school. It kind of made me laugh on Cowboy's season how much his sister (what's her name? Nakomis?) hated him and how twisted it was of the producers to reunite two long-lost siblings on the show without them having any idea. Those two couldn't have been anymore different yet looked so much alike physically.

I'm finding that this year's houseguests just have no chemistry together. There aren't any people I can say that I really like yet and usually by this time I have a few favorites. Is Natalie the girl on the Athletes team? She's another one who just overcompensates. I don't think she'll last long. Lydia is a crybaby yeah. I liked her for the first episode until she got nominated and started bawling her eyes out and doing the whole victim mentality thing--I cannot stand the victim mentality, it INSTANTLY makes me dislike someone.

I haven't checked any of the live feed stuff or jokersupdates.com to see who won POV yet and who's the replacement noms.

Edited to add that I just checked the POV and am THRILLED about the new nominee. I'm not sure which of you are following the feeds and which of you are only watching the show so I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

Yea I didn't get to watch either one last night, for some reason our electricity in the apartments went down like 2 hours before they started and they didn't get them back up until today. Can watch Hell's Kitchen directly from Fox Website, so have that downloading to watch with the wife in bed on the laptop later.

Laura isn't half as smart as she thinks she is, she goes on and on about how she knows everything and how everyone else is playing the game. rather annoying, i hope to see her go.

Out of this group, i have to say I like Casey and Jeff the most. Both seem like cool laid back guys. Jordan isn't bad, but is ditsy as hell. Yea Natalie is the girl on athletes team and needs to go, but she is riding high on Jessie's jock even though she says she has a b/f back home. Lydia is just going to cry and whine every time looks her direction. SHIMa thinks she is more of a Diva then she is. Kevin has been to quiet so far to really tell.

Yes, I too have been sucked into the BB addiction. Finding this one harder to get into. I too was disapointed when Jesse returned. I like Casey. Enjoyed his facial expressions when Ronnie got to see his HOH room. I was laughing my ass offf....Oh a bubble maker....too funny. Expect the unexpected!!!! I'm liking this topic!!

So he wants to backdoor Ronnie? I haven't had the time the last couple days to follow along with what's going on in the house so I have no idea. Give me a quick fill in?

Everyone figured out that Ronnie is the snake of the house. He has lied to everyone, and everyone was planning on nominating him this week if they got HOH. Well somehow Ronnie slid back into Jessie's good side, and Jessie doesn't want to nominate him at all. But by doing this, basically the whole house will be pissed at Jessie.

See, this is a good thing then! Getting everyone pissed off at Jessie will hopefully mean that he will be nominated next week when he can't win HoH. Like I said, they should get that dude out ASAP because he is physically so strong and can dominate the competitions. Ronnie is not smart enough to win this game (ok, if he somehow wins, I will totally eat my words) and is way too emotionally unstable and immature to go too far. He's also a total tool. I feel sorry for his wife, having to put up with someone like that!

Edited because now that Michele has won the veto, I wonder how Jessie will put up in her place. Anyone got any links to the live feed stuff on Youtube? CBS has been cracking down on the people who put up the live feed videos and so they are hard to find.

naw it will be the same people pissed at Jessie, but one of them will go home. He has nat and lydia wrapped around his finger, ronnie worshiping him because he made it to week 3 last year and the others just laying around doing nothing.

But yea Ronnie got busted for telling his fibs to everyone last week when he was HOH and he was stirring the pot, playing the sides against each other, he knew they weren't talking to he just kept saying some one from the other side was saying stuff about each other and finally he got caught, his last 2 days as HOH he pretty much never left the HOH room because he was harassed. They had all talked about getting him out this week since he couldn't win HOH, even the 2 in his clique were talking about throwing the HOH comp so some one else can win and get rid of him. Then Jessie won, said he was going to put up two other people and then back door Ronnie, but all along he was once again working with Ronnie and put up Jordan and Michelle, well Michelle won POV and I'm sure when she uses as planned, he won't back door Ronnie like he told everyone he would.

Haha, you'd think it would be good, but its not. Russel, Jessie, RATalie, Chima, and Ronnie are supposedly an alliance. So while everyone else is saying that Jessie is "sticking to the plan", Jessie stated everyone is saying that for him, he hasn't said it himself. So he is going to nominate Casey most likely.

Great thread Mimi Hubby and I have watched BB since season 1. It's the only reality show we've consistently watched. We got sick of Survivor after season 2.

Unfortunately, we missed the first episode b/c we were up at the Grand Canyon cooling off and forgot it was going to be on TV that night. Got some great pics of Flagstaff, the Meteor Crater and the Grand Canyon though.

I really don't get all the people throughout the seasons who bitch about having to do something they don't want to do. Well, I guess I do get it. It's greed! They see a chance to get some cash and maybe become famous, but forget they have to play by the rules. Remember the ex-Penthouse model from last year who kept bitching about being paired with and having to sleep in the same bed with the big tall guy. (Sorry, bad with names) These people have to know they're going to go through tasks that aren't going to be pleasant. It's all part of the game.

Cause season 10 didn't have pairs, season 9 did, and the ex-penthouse model was Sheila, but she was 46, and she was teamed up with Adam, who was kind of big. Does that ring a bell? I can't think of any other ex-penthouse models from season 10 at all.

Jordan and Jeff are so fun to watch. They're both hilarious. Jordan is a little ditzy, but I think some of it is an act. Jeff is cute, and he really cares for Jordan. I know they're just friends, but they're cute together. Haha.

Big brother, Survivor, The Apprentice (insert country)'s got talent, Rock of love, The Bachelor. They're all unreality shows and as far as I am concerned the only reality shows on TV are the news and COPS. No scripts, tribal councils or BS rose ceremonies equals reality to me.

The shows that are filmed ahead of time aren't so much reality, I'll give you that. But Big Brother? It cannot be scripted in any way. There are live 24/7 feeds. I will admit in the diary room, sometimes they will ask questions in a way to get them to say what they want them to say, and sometimes if they mess up during the speech, they will have them do it over, other than that, its all real.

But you're right with shows like The Bachelor/ette & Rock of Love, etc. They give them things to say, and a lot of it is scripted, like some fights and stuff. Thats why I don't watch those shows

If they both manage to not get voted out anytime soon, I bet it will evolve into a show-mance!




Yeah, the live feeds definitely aren't scripted. The TV broadcast can be edited to make a certain person look like a villain, or a certain person come across as someone America wants to root for, depending on what the producers want but the stuff on the live feeds is genuine interactions with a group of people stuck in a house that is completely cut off from the outside world. So, yeah, while it's not "reality", it still sort of is "reality". And quite frankly, sometimes a little mindless entertainment is just what I need to unwind after a long stressful day.

Speaking of the Bachelorette, I caught some of the finale last night. Interesting that she chose Ed. And I felt HORRIBLE for Reid, coming back like that and begging her. I liked Kipton better than Ed. Oh well. As for Rock of Love? Any VH1 show like that is ALWAYS a train wreck.

Yes, because the news doesn't show you what they want you to see as news, it's real, hard core unedited and honest.... Sorry i do not watch news on TV at all, they only show negative news 90% of the time, they show news that relates to their opinions and beliefs. I check various website for my news and even then I still get just want that site is reporting.

Either way, i watch "reality shows" for entertainment, not to believe that this is how people really are. Of course it isn't real to dump 15 people in the Amazon and have them compete for money, of course it isn't real to put 15 people in a house and have them compete for money, of course it isn't real to have teams race around the globe for money. But in my opinion it is entertainment so I choose to watch them. Why people continue to come to a thread that they do not want to participate in, it would be like me watching Fox News all day and then bitching about not liking any of it. No, instead I choose to not watch it, the same as people can choose not to watch these shows and there for I see no reason why you should come into the thread to comment on it. I don't go in everything that I don't have anything constructive to say and give my unneeded opinion.

Sorry for the rant, but shit if you won't watch em and don't like em, who cares, this is a thread for those that do. This is in response to everyone who feels the need to let us know it's not real and they don't watch them, I just have quoted the latest reply.



LOL, no joke, I haven't talked to him since watching it, my wife has but I haven't gotten to give him "Hell" for it yet. He's pretty much the way you see him all the other times though, loud and laughing at everything.

Depends on what you term as "news". Fox isn't a news show, in my opinion it is a republican supporters television magazine which amounts to nothing more than tabloid gossip mag trash. I challenge you to find anyone outside the US who doesn't find it one of the most annoying TV programs Try news programs like Aljazeera or BBC world service. I have an unwritten rule that I watch the news until the first adverts. If it isn't more important than ads, it isn't worth watching. What I gave is my opinion, as entitled to do it as you are. I didn't mention the Amazing Race because that is a show I do like. I just can't see the attraction of the others which all seem to follow the same formula and was trying to point out the fact they are far from reality which is a point of view you seem to share.

I don't regularly watch the news. I mostly just watch the news for the weather report and will have it on briefly to see if anything major is happening in the city. Lately, I've been watching the first 10 minutes of it or so because we're having a garbage strike in the city and I'm wanting to know more info about when the mess will end! Other than that, I don't feel the need to fill my head with violent images and opinions that just end up pissing me off. What IS real about many reality shows (not at) but with shows like BB, you get to watch human nature. You get to see people's true sides as they get more and more bored because they have no stimulus other than EACH OTHER to keep their minds occupied. By the end of the season of BB, the last 4 or 5 people have practically lost their minds We all know that reality shows are mindless and yeah, I agree, this thread is for those that occasionally enjoy a little mindless entertainment.

As for Van, he was better in last night's episode! At least he stopped telling people to "suck his di*k". I love loud and laughing people but angry people who try to kill you like that one guy (Joseph?)? YIKES!!!! It was so over the top though that I honestly wonder if he was a hired actor and not a real contestant on the show. OR, my alternate theory for that kind of blowup, that he's on drugs. I've seen people with bad drug habits react illogically and with extraordinary anger to something seemingly minor. Gordon Ramsay did seem genuinely pissed off though so maybe it wasn't scripted. Gordon is like the epitome of an alpha male. I couldn't help but laugh when his eyes narrowed, his chest puffed out, and his voice dropped down in pitch a bit when that guy got up in his face, and had they actually fought? That Joseph dude would have had his ass kicked. Gordon looks like he's been in some mean fights!

Oh gross, that just annoys me about CBS making Jessie the good guy again this year. They did it last time he was on the show and it was SO obvious they were trying to get people to like him, to keep him in the house, America to vote him in, whatever, I don't remember now. I don't see the Jessie appeal and clearly neither do most people since everyone seems to think he is a total douche.




I think I'm gonna root for Russell. Mostly because he is the only one that I remotely like--and even though, at first, I thought he was an idiot. I don't like any of the girls, except for maybe Michele because she seems to be one of the few people in the house with a working brain. Jessie was HOH, therefore he wasn't allowed to play. He didn't fall, he just had to sit out. You can only play for HOH back to back when you're going from 4 players to 3, but that is weeks away.

Russel won HOH this week, and he swore he wouldn't nominate Jeff OR Jordan (yay!). Russel did vote to vote out Jordan this week, but that was because he promised Casey his vote. He told Jeff this when they were hanging during HOH comp. The others think Ronnie voted out Jordan, which is good for Russel, because people will start blaming Ronnie because he has messed up votes before. I kind of don't trust Russel in keeping his word, but I kind of do. But I am not too worried about it, because it looks like Jeff will win the coup d'etat**.

**America votes for who they want to win the coup d'etat. That power gives you the ability to override HOH's decisions. So lets say Russel DOES nominate Jeff and Jordan. If Jeff won the coup d'etat (and it looks like he will, i've been to all the voting sites, and Jeff has like 85% of the votes), right before live eviction, Jeff can say "screw this decision, I want to nominate Ronnie and Jessie", and those two would HAVE to be put up. I think the only exception is if you win veto you can't be put up by the coup d'etat. Also, you only have two weeks to use it.

I've been voting for Jeff, and when I went to Jokers, he had like 600 votes, and Jordan was in second place with like, 30 votes. America LOVES Jeff

I voted for Russel and just checked Jokers. Russell won HoH!

So Casey went bye bye. No big surprise there. I would rather have seen others go than him though. I missed the first half of the broadcast because i was making a late dinner so I'm still rather out of the loop. Ronnie... is... a TOTAL AS*HOLE!!! Jeez. That guy drives me nuts, as much as someone on some reality tv show can drive me nuts

Edited to add that I'm glad the cliques are over. I thought the concept was kind of ridiculous anyway and I think it hurt the chemisty of the house. I still feel like no one has really gotten to know each other and start really truly interacting the way they have at this point in past seasons. I'm finding this year's cast to be sorta lacklustre.

Edited AGAIN cuz i just read your post, Beau--you and I were posting at the same time I think--and I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that if Jeff really does intend to nominate Jessie and Ronnie, that he wins the coup d'etat. That'd be awesome. I wonder who's they hate more in the house--Jessie or Ronnie. Either one of them going would be just fine with me.
