how do you find topics that you've posted replies on before?

Use the search feature,, upper left of screen,,,, enter your user name in the box,,, hit search. That's pretty much it...

Go to your profile, and look at your Topics and Posts tab. This will only show your last 20 days posts though.
For older posts, in your profile, click the drop down menu under your display name on the left called "Options", and click "Find members posts", or "Find members topics".
