I have noticed in recent years that hotels have gone to beds resting on solid box frames instead of normal bed frames with open space underneath. When I talk to the hotel management they say this has been done so that customers do not leave shoes and other items under the bed when they leave the room. The problem arises because I use a Hoyer Lift to get in and out of bed and since there is no space under the bed it can not be used. My wife and I have been waiting to be able to travel when our kids were grow and gone and now we can't because of this new problem.
Anyone else ran into this problem? If so, any solutions?

If you go online.. you can usually see pics of hotel rooms... You may not be able to see your specific room, but most hotels have the same bed thru-out.
If you check out some of the nicer hotels, that are a bit more unique than their neighbors, you will be more likely to find those bed frames suited.
I only notice this stuff because, I swear to god, with each hotel I enter the bed gets an inch taller... The new frames ur talking about are retarded. No one uses that shit at their house....... totally not a comfort of home.. for different reasons obviously.
Anyways, wish I could help more.
