Does anyone here use a Lasher chair? I am thinking of upgrading my Tilite and the Lasher chairs look great but are mega $'s.Just wondering if they are worth it
I've been using my BT-Mg for four weeks now and am very pleased with the chair itself. It's very light, rides very smoothly on Frog Legs and the design is very uncluttered, making it very easy to clean. I bought the chair from the original owner who had only used it for six months so it was a bit of a bargain because it was as new, but unfortunately it doesn't have as much dump as I'd have liked so I don't know whether to keep it or sell it on. As for it being value for money, I guess it all depends on how much you'll happily spend on a chair. The original buyer paid $6000 which included a few upgrades and custom paint but I don't think it's worth twice the price of a Tilite ZR. One thing I really like about it is the fact that the backrest doesn't lock in the upright position. I was unsure about this before buying the chair but a having used it a little I find it's much quicker getting it in and out of the car. I also find the over sized tubing makes the chair easier and more comfortable to hold when doing floor transfers.
One thing I'm not happy about is the after sales service from the company. I wrote to Lasher on the 15th September asking for a quote for a carbon backrest and got a reply giving me a rough estimate depending on which options I chose. I replied on the 28th September saying I'd just taken delivery of the chair and asking for a final quote for the backrest and a quote for altering the camber. I didn't get a reply so wrote again on the 9th October and still haven't heard anything. I know I didn't buy the chair direct from Lasher but seeing as I'd have been spending around $1500 on the upgrades one would think they'd have taken the trouble to reply.
