Good evening! This is my first time on the site and I am glad I found it. Lots of great info. My husband is a T6 incomplete, injured last June. We have been trying hard to figure out a good work out routine to help aid in his weight loss. I can say that we eat pretty healthy, salads, lean meats, etc and he is not much of a snacker anyhow. However, recently he has noticed a progressed weight gave of approx 16 lbs. He is 6'3 approx 239 lbs and due to his injuries previously (broke both shoulders and clavicals) we really need to help keep his weight down. He uses the FES bike, we do pool therapy, but it does not seem to be working. Is "heavy" exercise needed to see continuous improvements? Thanks for your help I look forward to getting info here.
I don't want to sound harsh but teach him to take a fork out of his mouth and that might help him loose some wight, trust me! He needs to change his life style by changing his diet for good.
