I was wondering if anyone knew of any natural/herbal remedy that is intended to help with bladder control, similar to like a detrol or something like that. thanks

I'm not currently aware of any but oddly enough I just today posed a similar question to my urologist. I'm not necessarily looking for something to ingest orally (even 'all-natural' can be unsafe, herbs are drugs after all) but anything I can do through lifestyle changes, diet, exercise, weight etc. She's going to do a little investigating and get back to me. I'll post her reply if it's worth repeating. I've been on Detrol, Ditropan, etc etc and none of those ever worked for me. It is very important as well to see if your incontinence issues stem from any underlying conditions. Have you gone over all possible causes with your urologist already?

thanks, I look forward to the answer if your doctor has one. Detrol works pretty well, but I am interested in seeing what's out there as an alternative.

Well, I'm glad you're looking. I have begun to opt out of any 'drug' therapy I possibly can. It's surprising how doctors/nurses can find alternatives after you put your foot down. I never take a Rx just because a doctor prescribes it. I ask MANY questions including "What if I decide not to medicate?". I'm fortunate enough to have a doctor who listens and supports my desire to avoid meds when possible.

I'm trying to get off prescription meds as much as possible also, although I don't have a problem with herbal pills. So that is an option if there is one.
