I am looking for a good place to vacation for next summer. Would like a place on a lake with a nice swimming are.
Has any one found a place that they liked?

Why not just vacation here in MN?

We are going with people from out of the state and that is where they want to go.

Maybe somewhere up near Bayfield or the islands up there? I honestly have no idea, because it's been awhile since I've been to Northern WI. Good luck though - should be fun!

We camped here last year and it is a very nice campground and Mackinac Island/Mackinaw City is beautiful with tons to do. When we visited, it was before my SCI guy was in my life, so I didn't stay in one of the accessible cabins to vouch for how close to ADA compliance they are.

Try the McGrath House in Washburn WI. Only 2 short blocks from Lake Superior beach and marina. The house has two apartments. The lower is completely accessible. You can rent the lower or the whole house. Washburn is about 10 miles from Bayfield.

Wisconsin you are among friends! I would check out the Wisconsin DNR website. They offer great affordable accessible cabins. I believe there is 4 or 5 different locations. They all look very nice we are booking one for this summer! Good luck and happy vacationing!
