Hi
Just wondered if anyone had experienced botox injections to make voiding easier? Been using conveens for 8 yrs no probs but now bladder retaining. My wife is cathing for me twice a day but more than this would be a real pain. I don't want a suprapubic as I won't be able to be left on my own in case it blocks and I get AD.
Also has anyone tried the new button one way valve where a catheter is pushed in to empty the bladder every few hours? Would be better than worrying about a catheter blocking and would keep the bladder in good condition by filling it up.
Cheers

I have the AUS (artificial urinary sphincter), and it's awesome, but only if you have enough hand function to use it. The valve is controlled via a squeeze bulb in the scrotum. There is a nifty thing called the sling, but I'm not sure of it. Talk to a uro about your problem. If you can't get the first one to figure something out, get a second opinion.

Thanks for reply.
I've never heard of that before. I actually meant a device known as the 'button' which is where a tube is inserted in to a porthole in the abdomen. Click the link to see:

I wouldn't have the hand function to do it myself but someone could do it for me every 3-4 hours.
