According to the 'spin' on the 10th October Swedish wheelchair maker Panthera will be launching the World's lightest manual chair. See here: http://www.panthera-x.com/

I've not a fan of their current "world's lightest chair" (the 6.45kg U2 light) as the Ti frame looks to busy however, it will be interesting to view the new design tomorrow. Maybe it will convince me not to buy the Quickie Helium (from 6.5Kg)?

Anyone currently using a Panthera chair? http://www.panthera.se/index-eng.html

Note: I have no connection with the company

Does this include the rear wheels? Because the Quickie Q7 can be as low as 14lbs including all components like rear wheels. The Q7 is the newest chair from Quickie and is basically the North American version of the Helium.

Edited to add that I just noticed your second post about the weight without/with wheels. The chair is carbon fiber? A few months ago the idea of a carbon fiber chair really intrigued me--until I found out that when/if it shatters, it SHATTERS. Like a bomb. No thanks.
