My husband is T6 and we are going on a cruise early next year on the Sun Princess from Sydney to New Zealand. As he needs hoisting do I have to arrange this beforehand or will the ship have hoists aboard. Also wondering about shower commode and maybe air matress. Does anyone have any imformation rearding these matters. Thanks.

Why not ask the ship operators?

Hi
I went on the Sun Princess last year and accompanied to guys in wheelchairs. We took their hoist and shower chair The cabin was specific for wheelchairs the bathroom was big enough to accomodate the shower chair with plenty of space to spare. A great layout. As for the shower chair and hoist; it was part of luggage and was in the cabin before we were!
The ships crew were fantastic and couldnt do enough to help and the access on the ship is great.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the ship or its crew.
Have fun.

Thanks lin,
Was hoping someone would have had some experience with hoisting, shower chair and all the other things that go with it. You have made me feel a lt more confident about the cruise and we certainly will have fun!
