An 85-year-old woman has had to undergo surgery after being hit in a town centre by a woman riding a mobility scooter who failed to stop.
The woman had been walking past Marks and Spencer in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, at about 1250 BST on Saturday when she was hit.
Police said the injured woman broke her hip and arm and had other injuries to her leg.
She underwent surgery and is now said to be in a "comfortable" condition.
Officers urged anyone who saw the scooter rider to contact them.
She was described as white with shoulder-length hair and wearing a light-coloured top. The scooter was red.
Pc Derya Mustafa said: "The motorised scooter would probably have been quite slow moving and therefore it is very likely that someone would have seen it leaving the area at the time."
