Hellol everyone, back on again on behalf of my son, Darren, who is T6. After months of leaking and trying every drug offered, he had botox 2 weeks ago. He left the indwelling in for 9 days and removed it last Thursday. Since then, he has had 2 accidents which have got him down. We were just wondering if the botox should be working by now. If the fact that he has had accidents, does this mean the botox hasn't work. Its the one thing to have gotten him down since his accident and I want to offer him some hope of sorting it out. He now also has a girlfriend so he doesnt want to be having accidents in her company.

Thanks again for any help you can offer us.

Hi,
I can’t offer any advice on the botox myself but accidents happen to the best of us & always at the wrong time, has he considered using a condom cath for a short time? Will save on embarrassing situations.

I had Botox injunction 2 times, but both time effect did not last long. My bladder capacity is inconsistent, specially low when I am driving, leaning forward or unwell. I use Condom cath and leg bag on regular basis and does intermittent self catheter in between to empty the bladder.

How much was injected? Here in the states, they can only inject 200ml at one time because it's not really FDA approved. I'm going in for my 4th time in Dec as my Urologist said I'll need any where from 800 - 1000ml to get me stable. I'm also taking 10mg of oxybuton a day and I don't leak. Hope that helps!
