Could anyone out there recommend a really top quality travel commode? One that can be reduced and packed in a travel pack or suitcase.

I need it for over the toilet and in the shower. I've seen something on the net from a former US motorcycle racer who designed a commode for travel, but I cant seem to locate it now. The cost was advertised at $1600.00.

WHAT??????? $1600.00 ????? And you're considering this????? Is it made of gold or something... These items are functional pieces of kit: and nothing is worth that unless studded with diamonds and even then I can think of better things to do with them than stick them on a commode.

Man, this industry is an absolute outrage!

I have posted on this subject before as I have a number of products that allow me to travel and shower/toilet, etc, even where there is no bathroom.

And it folds into a bigger wheelie case, with space to fold clothes and other stuff around it. The cheapest I have seen it for in the UK is about £131 ex VAT.

Tell me more please, I havn't seen such a chair in my travels.

We have one from Nuprodux and it folds up smaller than some of my purses! You should be able to look it up online...

Yes, I've been working on sourcing things to go away, as my friends are bikers and spend a lot of time in the Balkans where they don't have accessible hotels! I have found a number of clever products that I have been using for years.

All of these you can find online already, though I am chasing down the suppliers as the prices are too high and they keep rising. Mentioned already that I've been to a useful trade fair last week, and found some good items and good manufacturers. Though it may take a couple of months for them to appear on my site. So in the meantime, if you can't wait, the cheapest (UK supplier) I can find online is: euromedical

Other things include 12V showers, cheap plastic sucker shower shelves, load bearing grab handles, rubber inflatable loo seats (already on my site, and great for loos anywhere, pack down small and travel with you in the bag on the back of the chair).

The thing that is eluding me at the moment is a really good travel standing frame that packs right down but is reliably robust when up. May be that I end up designing one, but need to get other things going first.

I have been to campsites here in GB and what a nightmare.

Yes we have a disabled loo, it's just up that step.
We have a wide shower cubicle, no it hasn't got a chair.
You want to camp here............but your in a wheelchair.
You put your money in the meter........no it doesn't have a delay while you get set.
Your having a laugh.

Now a weekend biker rally might not have a shower to use, but it will have toilets I can use, that beer has got to go somewhere.

Hi, yes have used these also on camp sites, but the 2 issues I found was first the balancing act on transfer (arms are further out than legs so easy to tip over, and I just like to relax and have things easy when I'm showering) and second, there's no cut out for cleaning tackle and hoop! Like to be clean! They're a last ditch solution now that I have found others I'm happy with.

But wholly agree on finding cheaper and workable solutions!!!
