I am going to take some classes in Janurary and wanted to ask others here how they deal with the rain when they need to go out. I transfer from my car to my chair and I need to find the best way to stay dry when I need to go to class. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sheesh Im having same issue lately... From point A to point B, if its pouring rain I'd wait or hope to have a poncho near by. As for getting in the car, Im thinking Im going to just try an umbrella from the top of door to roof, see if I cant wedge it in some place to hold tight..
Trial and error, lol.

Dip yourself in wax before heading out. Mount an open umbrella to the backrest of the wheelchair. Wear water resistant/proof clothing. Carry a portable hair dryer with a generator mounted beneath the chair. What the $#@! am I talking about...

I use a rain poncho and duck tape an umbrella to my chair because I only have the use of hand.and nerve damage makes rain painful
make=life=easier sells an umbrella that sits on your left shoulder.
my caregiver uses it while he pushes my chair
