Hello Everyone,

I thought I would share the photos from the ride. I had a good recovery but the experience will never leave me, and with the ride and development of a "team" we will hopefully continue to promote and raise funds for the community impacted by spinal cord injuries. This is the second year and we had 5 riders. I already have 10 or so lined up for next year!! We had a good time. My right leg doesn't work as well as my left, so when I couldn't get my foot out of the pedal and fell while going exactly 0 mph...twice...it was a pretty impressive sight! We completed the 100 mile Seagull Century circuit, and actually had quite a bit of interest from several people (there are over 8000 participants) about our jerseys and the Miami Project. Sharing my story and those of others, and bringing some attention to those with SCI felt very good. I hope that over time an impact can be made here.

I spasmed like crazy and limped around for several days after, but I try to keep my symptoms in perspective...something that I am completely horrible at doing, but I suppose there's always room for improvement. I'd like to thank Simon for allowing me to post a request for people to donate. And I would like to thank everyone for the support they have provided to me and to others on this site. Please take care and have a good weekend.

If anyone is interested in jerseys, let me know. If you're not familiar with cycling jersey material, it's kind of stretchy material, but not spandex. They also have three pockets in the back which come in handy. If there's interest, I could look into ordering more and figure out how to "sell" them and get the $$ to the charity. I'm hoping to get a lot more organized this year and continuing to see this grow...where it stops, nobody knows!
