Yoh,
Been home for 8 mnths now and still have tipper wheels on. Pretty keen to get them off so i can start draggin chair into car by myself, but wife isn't cause I have no hand function to catch myself quick if i fall back.........
I balance heaps all day, become habit, go back sometimes not many when a bit lazy and stuff. Chair is pretty tippy atm. Its a quickie ti.
When did you take yours off, did you make your chair heavier to compensate a bit ?

i got rid of mine well before i left hospital. get rid of yours...sooner rather than later. hang on to them for too long and you'll never get rid of them. you shouldn't need to adjust your chair either. you are probably a lot more skilled than you think you are. go for it...if the wife isn't keen well tell her to keep the tippers on her chair ;-D

Or you could keep them on and figure out a better way to get it in the car. I have ended up using mine for pressure relief,,, I have them set in such a way as to allow me to tip back into them and rest that way,, reading or watching tv.
Tippers or not,,, armrests or not,,, all a matter of personal choice. Do whatever feels good to you, and screw what others think,,, including me.

What's the worst that can happen? You already have a broken neck, so I say go for it.
