Earlier this year purchased one of Patd's FreeWheel offroad attachments (see link below) but regret that my shoulders just aren't up to pushing in the rough even with this remarkably helpful adaptation installed. Surprisingly I have found that using a clip-on handcycle is much kinder, so that is what I shall be using from now on.
So.......my FreeWheel is offered here first. If I can't find a buyer here I will auction it on eBay in due course. Included is a hanger (Pat calls them a perch) so it can be stowed on the back bar of the chair when not in use.
OK, so the FreeWheel is currently set up for use with my Tilite TR which has a flat footplate fixed to a single bar at the front. Because there is quite a degree of adjustment available, it would probably fit other footrests but I have not tried.
The new price for the FreeWheel is currently around £320 plus shipping, and I paid a further £39.14 including delivery for the hanger.
Naturally I wish to recoup as much of the cost as I can, so offers over £200 are invited, postage and packing will be extra at cost but only to the mainland UK I'm afraid.
Although my condition sadly will not allow me to continue using the FreeWheel, I can whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone who wishes to get off the pavement and get closer to nature. Many forum members have now purchased them, and I have never seen anything but praise for them and for Pat himself, who is a most obliging and helpful guy to do business with.
