Hi I need to get some legal advice about housing for disabled people or the lack of it in certain areas and help with relocating due to health reasons.
The council even though I have GP's,OT and social services advising that I need to be rehoused due to health issues wont rehouse me.

Do you own or rent your property? Been through the same issues with my son. If you own your own property it is really difficult, (almost impossible!) its like they don't care. My son owns his own house, can't get in and out without help because of small steps, no downstairs bathroom/toilet facilities. So for nearly 18 mths has ate/slept/lived in one downstairs space, and had to go to a local sports club for his daily shower etc. However, if he'd rented or lived at home he would have been able to have a place adapted to his needs months ago.
Don't know what the legal position is but why don't you speak to your local citizens advice, or many solicitors will give you a free half hr consultation. Only other suggestion is just keep nagging anyone and everyone who will listen. Your local councillor/MP/social worker. Local newspaper would probably be interested in doing an article for you too. Power of the press and all that.
Good luck!

Write down all your woes and proceed to a housing solicitor seeking a hour of his time
Hopefully he will outline a plan of action for you to proceed with at a small cost
Or with your tale of woes approach the CAB for guidence who will likely give you legal guidence

Beware though that there are no quick fixes
I had to completely wreck my council flat (social housing guys) befor they moved me on and you should read some of the transcribed phone calls between the social services and housing guys. Profanity abounded.

Good Luck
