I have an Effect 5000 (http://www.wheelsunlimited.com/effect5000.html) and it works well for me. It overlays my regular bed and can travel with me. The original pump went out after 6 months, but it was under warranty so it was replaced for free. The new pump has been working well for the last two months.

I have a Medline Supra,,, I'm not sure of the model number. I used this type of mattress since my injury, five years ago,, and have been very happy with it. It's allowed me to heal up from a pressure sore on my tail bone and , I'm sure, helped prevent any more from forming.

Mine is on a hospital type bed, and the only problem I've had is when the power goes out it deflates. I keep a camping air mattress on hand as a backup. Put it right on top of the deflated Medline. Waking up the next morning to restored power is a trip,,,, eight inches higher,,,, that first transfer is ,,, interesting.

Shop around,, you will find some online stores cheaper than others,, by quite a lot sometimes.
