Rooost,
I am amazed, awed might be more discriptive. And very envious .
I would love to get back on my bike. I hope you don't mind a few questions. I've always been pretty much a loner, with not a lot of friends, particularly those who ride. It seems to me that I could easily ride and stay upright while moving ( barring deep sand or mud) but getting started and stopped have me stumped. How do you keep it up when you stop? How do you get started in the first place? I 'd love to try it ,but if it takes too many "spare hands" I think I'll have to stick to four wheels. I don't get the same rush on a quad that I got on my bike, but it's better than nothing.
Keep rollin, dude. Two wheels, four wheels , Just make it happen!!!!
Edlee,
At first you defiantly need a lot of help (2 people is good), just get someone to hold the bike while you get on and take off and catch you when you want to stop. I always go riding with friends anyway even on the raptor, its just too dangerous to be stuck out there on your own. Every time i ride im getting more independent though, i can now get someone to take the bike off the trailer and lean it up against the trailer, from there i can get on and take off with very little assistance from one person. Im going to make a little clamp to hold the bike up against the trailer, with that i should need no help at all once the bike is off the trailer. For stopping i ride up along side the trailer, stop and lean the bike up against it (the nurf bars make this quite easy). If i need to stop during a ride i just give my mate the signal and he catches me, if there are trees around or even someone with a quad i just stop up against that. You really want to get your self a good riding buddy, i've found most people are pretty intrigued by a para riding an MX bike so they are quite willing to help, my wife is very supportive and helpful too. Like anything it will be difficult at first but the more you do it the easier it gets and riding 2 wheels is so rewarding any effort you put in you will get back ten fold in enjoyment.
Good luck!
