Im happy to announce that the new family member arrived on wednesday at 17.50, safe and sound. We were just a bit surprised as at the scan we were told it was a girl so we have been preparing our son for a sister for the last few months, so guess who arrived, a boy!!! Isak Rowland, weighing in at 8lb 13oz.
Unfortunatly I had a bit of a complication in labour in that my contractions were not strong enough to do the job, so after many hours of getting nowhere I was taken by ambulance to Newcastle. Very exciting for my hubby anyway! For any ladies out there just bear in mind that doctors will always ask you the details of your SCI in between contractions or when you are speechless with pain and giving the gas and air your all!!!!!
So here is a picture of the little chap for you to all go ahhhh over!

Congradulations! I've been reading your blog and was wondering when you were going to have the baby! I'm glad he's healthy and everything went well (for the most part). So, how exactly are you going to explain to your son that his little "sister" is actually his little "brother"?! I bet that was a surprise!

Kids are the greatest gift one can be given. Even when they grow into teens and " suck the life right out of ya" as my gran used to say. But she still loved us anyway.

I have been away for a while - where is your blog as I could not see it?

As a doctor I found your outcome quite funny.

Here in Scotland we do not reveal the sex of babies at scans for that reason. The NHS was getting sued right, left and centre for wongly sexing a baby. It is actually quite hard do to despite what folk think. You can for a fee of £80.00 go to a hospital in LIvingston who will scan you and tell you the sex accurately but even so, they have been known to be wrong.

Been a long time since I posted. Been working hard and working on having kids. Our time is hopefully here. Our counts are great, I've 50 million+ swimmers and she's 3+ nice follicles ready and we'll be getting an IUI in the next 48 hours. After 2 years, hopefully we're due. Thanks to someone who loves me dearly, Ferticare, and support here, we'll hopefully begin the journey of parenthood.

If you get a chance in the next couple days, say a little prayer or say a little wish that we finally get pregnant. I appreciate it. Next comes the 2 week wait.
