As the title says, do we have any Paralympians reading the forum?
If so, don't be shy, tell us what you're up to.
What's your sport, how's your training going?
Regards
Simon

Well im no longer a Paralympian but i used to be, my sports were Archery, Rifle Shooting, Pistol Shooting, getting involved in wheelchair sport was the best thing i could have done as it opened a whole new life for me and enabled to see the world, i enjoyed every minute of it, i was selected for 3 Paralympic games and various other championships, i would recommended it to anyone who enjoys participating in sport.

My plan is to swim the 50 and 100 meter breaststroke :
http://www.usoc.org/2007OpenCanAmSWIMChamps.MeetPacket.pdfI haven't swam, well trained since college but my times are now at the "won't embarrass" myself level. So I still have time train and hope to be competitive.
Any other unseen surgeries aside thats the plan.

I play sled hockey, and 3 from our team are with the olympic team.
If I have to be as good as them I have lots of work ahead of me, but it's a goal of mine.

Well, I would have been a Paralympian in 1984 and 1988 (10m Air Rifle) but the South African team was banned from all international events. I quit in 1989 after getting tired of shooting against myself every year. Got to admit that it still galls me!

Well I play Sled Hockey and am hoping to get onto the Womens National team this year. Women arent allowed to play sled hockey in the paralymics but USA is getting a national team together this year in hopes of other countries following suite so they can petition for it to be an olympic sport in 2010.

I sail, here is
my site with a few articles on some trips.
Unfortunately I was in an auto accident this last June which ended my trip back east to the trials for actually qualifying for the games. I was considered one of the top 4 in the nation at the time. OH WELL
I was named to the 2001 team. I now sail the 2.4mR which I own 2 of. I am getting a new van soon and will be back on the road.
I also help with a sailing site
SailingAnarchy.com which covers sailing. We have a forum with over 1 million posts and 20,000 members.
Oh, I live in the Ventura/Oxnard area of Calif.

I used to do a lot of horse riding before and when I was diagnosed with MS I was going to be assessed as a para rider, this never happened as I was always to ill, but then I had my accident and became paralysed and I'm not able to sit on a horse at all now.
