I have to watch what I eat due to heart condition and my spinal injury. Before my fall I was able to eat anything I wanted, I am a meat & potato kind of person and have always ate/ cooked home cooked meals(lots of starch and protein)
I rarely go out to eat due to the fact I don't know what they may put in my food or how fresh it is.
Since my accident, I lost almost all my upper body musscle,I found it when I tried to fit into my pants. I have to admit I am not active as I once was.
My eating habits have changed somewhat, I now limit my egg intake to 3/wk and I eat oatmeal and Hi in fiber cereal, this is to help with the colesterol and to help with my bowel movements, which are not that frequent any more.
I eat a lite lunch instead of a sandwich with a package of lunch meat and three slices of cheese.
My dinner meals haven't changed that much just smaller portions and less beef, I substatute this with venison, I do get to eat more fish now.And I now eat more veggies than I used to.
I have given up a lot of my snacks, to help watch the wieght. I do eat sun flower seeds in the shell, only to keep my hands and mouth busy since I quit smoking.
I have had to give up my beer drinking due to the meds. so this does not help to regulate me.
So Whats in your diet?

Due to inactivity, meds, and hormone levels (part of my condition) I have to watch how much I eat, how much fat and cholesterol and a number of other things I eat. Yet, I still gain and keep kidney stones as well as high cholesterol, and I do follow my diet.
I used to be able to eat anything.

Since I take a hand full of meds and not much exercise, I've all but given up having a few drinks or snacks. I eat something in the morning maybe fifty percent of the time and then just supper. It's rare if I eat anything after supper. I do take a generic Metamucil at least once a day.
I've always had a slow metabolism, so this lack of activity, sure does'nt help me any. I try to watch what I eat, but we do splurge once a week and eat take out. I don't go to resturants. Usually try to watch my bread intake, would eat way more veggies, but the cost of them is so high, it's not possible. I'd gladly cut out all cheap starches if I could afford more fresh fruitls and veggies. I've tried to take advantage of what the farmers are growing locally, not always easy to find.
