Hi every one
Well 24 hours down and the rest of our lives to go! I brought my husband home yesterday and WOW I never relized how small our apartment was lol. We definatly need to move.
Ok so how many mishaps have we had already lol. Well lets see I could barely fit the wheelchair in the trunk of the car when we left the rehab, the one and only step we have to go up is 7 inches high and that felt like 7 feet, and of course the bowel program did not go so hot lol. I have only called the nurse at the hospital once though.
All in all I don't think it has been so bad, honestly the worst part was trying to figure out all the meds lol(generic names are so far off from the name brand that the hospital was using). But that too is taken care of with a schedule hanging in the kitchen and the bed room so we know when he is due at all times.
I guess right now I don't have any questions but wanted to thank you all for giving me confidence and being here if I do have any questions so THANK YOU cheers.gif

Keep the advise coming and MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Harris Family

Merry Christmas Harris Family! The first few days back are so different than being at the hospital. Keep up on the pressure relief and good luck getting everything figured out. It will get a lot easier.

Hi Kimgilaby,
I have not been on the forum for a while due to sickness and being busy. Congrats on being home. I know when I first came home my daughter was 18yrs. old and my caretaker. At first she was so afraid and was so gentle when helping me but now she throws me around like a ragdoll lol. Everything will get easier. Do make a point to get out as often as the two of you can. I wish you well.

You are going to be great! You know they say after you do something for 7 days it become habit.

This might help with the meds. When we had to have help after the last kiddo was born. I typed a list for morning and night medicine with how much of each thumb tacked it to the wall next to the bed. Morning med bottles I taped one color sticky to the bottle and and night time another color. You can always look up medicine names and generics on the computer.
