Hi,
I do off roading smile.gif I have a lada Niva that myself and my dad are converting to automatic, and fitting a 2.9v6 ford engine. I've made a little site at www.nnoc.co.uk/niv6 toshow the progress of it.
What truck do you have?
To put pictures up, host them somewhere like www.imageshack.us (it explains how to do that there) and then when it' uploaded, you choose one of the addresses it gives you, and copy and paste it here, but make sure you put [img] before it at [/im*] after it (the * is so it doesn't try and use the text as an image, you would put the g in its place smile.gif )

When i can find a spot and afford the extra gas i love to go wheelin. Have a lifted 74 bronco.

This is the only picture that i have of it right now on my computer but it's about 10 years old.

I love the Bronco, don't see many in the UK though. My dad used to have a friend with one. A V6 if I remember correctly, sounded awesome biggrin.gif

I wish I had 4WD but i fill the crave with my 2WD S-10. Which means go fast & don't stop or you might not move again... that is until after I've gotten out the winch. drive.gif

V8 302 in mine, same as the old mustangs, it will dig in and burn some rubber on the streets.

Just added a 2" lift kit to disco, poylbushed and steering guards. My S1 is a rover 3.5 v8, 4 speed zf auto, coiled up original chassis, disco servo and pedal box, rear radius arms, tank in back etc etc all done my self. Heres some pics of my motors. Im also doing a 1956 300e Thames van with either a 302 sbf or 350 sbc. Heres some pics of me ( in the disco) and some friends.

Great rides Lee, i would love to get me a Defender 90, the remind me of my Bronco. Love the old wagon also, I've always wanted to get my a old side panel paddy wagon fixed up with a ramp that unfolds out of the back doors, i'm sure i could scare some old ladies by unfolding it and then come hauling ass down the ramp out of it.

Sheesh, guys - Doncha hate mud??? badmood.gif I mean you get all dirty and stuff! muhaha.gif Just kidding!!!

Here's a couple pics of me and my 91 Cherokee. Both from So Cal. I used to belong to a big 4 wheeler club there and was really gettin' into it (as you can see).

My Cherokee has a 2.5" Rancho lift with Rubicon Express lower control arms and quick-disconnect front sway bar links. And 31 x 10.5" BFG Mud Terrains with a Detroit locker in a custom Dana 44 rear end... It pretty much goes wherever I point it! It's also an automatic.

I've done a little wheelin' up here in WA (takin' it kinda easy, cuz it's got over 240,000 miles now), but I've shot a buncha deer, grouse and snowshoe hares outta the window! cool.gif I had to replace the transfer case last year (did it myself, as with installing the lift kit, etc...) - it exploded at 75 mph on a hunting trip and I had to get towed 180 miles.

Cheers! cheers.gif

Not as impressive as those excellent pics above - I'm green with envy! This was me and a paraplegic friend of mine after he got us stuck - only us 2 in the vehicle so it was fun!!!

I'd love to do some offroading in the sand dunes in Dubai - they organise some very exciting trips!

sad but true, however i know a guy that had a Hummer and i don't mean these new plastic tonka toy looking h2 and h3's that everyone has now, but that big bad ass original hummer. He would take it out to the river with us all the time and it was covered in dents, dings and scratches from bumper to bumper, i don't think i ever saw it clean, not even when it was driven as his work vehicle to the pharmacy. He always liked pushing tree's down that lined the bank in it, he would try to find a bigger one each time until it got where he would have to get a 20-30mph running start to be able to push it over. He was nuts in that thing, but at least he used it right.

Hi Lee -

I had lots of fun rock crawlin - even got a ride in one a those purpose-built beasties with 9000 inches of wheel travel that can twist into a pretzel to crawl over itself upside down... Well, you get the point!

I really love haulin' ass the most, though. Either way, it's expensive when you break stuff (which you always do, right?), so I haven't been doin' as much off-roadin' the last few years. I'll be gettin' an atv or something like a Polaris Razer one of these days to hunt from and thrash a bit... cheers.gif

How 'bout you?

A la carte, some of those rock crawling dudes want theor head read, lol. I know they have cages but some of them crashes you see look expensive and hurt, lol.

Monday morning me and 3 other trucks are going up a local mountain on a dirt trail. More than 4,800 vertical feet in less than 12 miles with two river crossings and there should still be some snow. I will have lots of pics to post monday night! (as long as I am not stuck on the side of the mountain lol)

How the heck do you get in that thing? I've always wanted a 78-79 Ford with a big lift on it, and tires like that...I had the trucks as of last year, but had to sell them... mad.gif

believe it or not, i use rope with knots in it thats anchored to the roof. i open the door an climb in, its really hard. if i can get a friend to help with the weight of my legs its much easier. they make driver seats that turn an come out of the vehicle specifaclly for lifted trucks.
josh
