Right, Ive never really suffered with a lot of spasms before, but I know a lot of people get them frequently and its very painful, so I wonder if I could ask for an opinion from someone who has experience?

Over the last few weeks Ive been getting this unbearable pain in my backside. Seriously its had me sobbing in bed, Ive been unable to even shift because any kind of attempted movement has brought about terrible pain. Its in my right buttock and round my hip bone. It feels almost as if someone has pulled my hip out of its socket. Ive been unable to even sit upright for some time as it starts to run up my back. It lasts for hours and hours and then leaves me feeling very sore, like Ive been bare back riding for weeks. It takes about 4 or 5 days to recover and during that time Im just having to rest in bed as much as possible and lie out flat when I can too. Both times its happened Ive tried to work out if I was doing anything strenous but both incidents seem to have come on for no reason at all. The only relief I get is if my husband pummells my backside for 20 minutes and that seems to help a bit.

So does this sound like muscles spasms? It seems to feel like that as my buttock seems to be very tight!! Any advice would be gratefully accepted as Ive never really had such sudden and intense pain as this.

As Im pregnant there is little point in going to see a Dr as unless your head is about to drop off they wont do anything!!!

thanks a lot in advance

My Dr. described "spasm" as an involuntary contraction of the muscle. I get them in my feet and groin. I also started getting painful surges in different parts of my legs - one day it would be the left thigh and the next day the right ankle. I call them "power surges" because it feels like someone plugged me into an electrical socket. Baclofen has helped the most.

I’m wondering if this might be something to do with your pregnancy? I remember my mom telling about having that kind of pain when she was pregnant with my brother (and he’s still a pain). Only her’s was mostly in one hip. It might have something to do with how the baby is positioned and, if so, there might be something you can do about it.
Tired of hurting
Morning, Read your post,It could be your ligaments to your uterus stretching. It feels like back labor. I've had 2 babies natural. Does it feel like labor. The way to find out is make love and after the orgasium, it feels better for 5-10 min. Thats probably part of it. PM if you have questions?
