hi guys. i'm new here and have followed this sight for sometime. over the winter i experienced temp issues where i would go as low as 92.1 which we all know can be deadly. the only way we knew to keep warm was to get in bed under many covers. my docs had no problem with this. now that its summer i find my muscles have contracted, i'm in terrible pain and am having trouble sitting in my chair longer than 4 hrs. to boot, i can barely feeed myself due to my left shoulder hiking up and throwing me sideways in my chair. new rehab doc thinks the shoulder is neurological. no painkillers work and the new rehab doc thinks my baclofen quit working and hes trying to wean me off. meanwhile noone will touch me for pt and i'm losing all function. i'
m experiencing ad constantly and noone seems concerned. help!

hi jass. i'm sorry you are in such pain. i suppose it goes along with being spinal cord injured. actually,my problem came from an arteriovenous malformation that bled on the cord. have tried many painkillers. they take away pain but not stiffness. have you found the same?

We all have some type of pain, but hang in there and try your best.

Would you rate that pain on a scale of 1 to 10? This has to be one of the dumbest questions I get asked when I go to the Doctor. I am here because I am in pain now that has to make it at lest a 4 right. LOL! I have no answer for you question only to let you know you are not alone and if I ever find an answer will pass it on.

thanks to you all for your support. i always get asked the pain scale question, too. i still get told i am unique, a survivor and last doc said welcome to life after 50. LOL!
