Hello, My name is Sherman Sweet, All of my friends know me by Jake. I have located an Internet sight that you may or may not be interested in. It offers allot of information on Stem Cells and also offers a procedure were they implant Stem Cells in the hopes that you may walk again.

I was curious if you wouldn't mind checking out the sight, www.medra.com and letting me know what you think about it because I am considering having the procedure done. Any opinion is welcome. Thank you very much for taking the time

What a cool name! Good thing you stopped by here first before going to China or India or some other third world country to get yer treatment done.
You see, I have a mobile stemcell treatment service! I work out of the back of my car, a fairly new BMW (so it's pretty darn sterile) and
I've read up on the procedures on the internet so I have a fairly good idea what I'm doing.
And get this my man. I've had some practice. A parakeet (get it? PARA-keet?) a dog, and a friend of mine's gold fish. All with fairly good results. I think.
The parakeet's doin' great but I'm not sure he was messed up to begin with. A paraplegic parakeet? I mean come on!
But the dog and the fish? Very minimal scarring and I'm fairly sure when they wake up they'll be walking in no time.

It is a scam. They are lying on the website.


Ricci the youtube and self magazine star has always been on my list because if you have any knowledge of SCI's, you would know that a lower back incomplete injury would not be a miracle if they walked. In the Medra infomercial Ricci states "I wasnt offered a whole lot of umm therapy because they didn't have a lot of hope" . Liar, you would have to be in war torn Afghanistan to have a doctor not offer you therapy.

WOW. According to Medra when Brian aka Jake was treated by doctor Rader later in 2006, this was his medical condition :

Brian slowly began to improve into what is called “a minimally responsive / semi-vegetative state” breathing through a tracheotomy and being fed liquids through a "G-Tube" placed in his stomach. Although he was improving, eventually Brian was left blind, unable to speak, could only minimally move only his right side and appeared to be extremely cognitively impaired.

This continued for three years until I found Dr. Rader who agreed to treat Brian with the Fetal Stem Cells.

WOW Steenblocks newsletter clearly shows that is a outright lie.

John Brower, Jakes father is patient relations over at Medra and the wife works sales.

Even Rader's first miracle child, Clayton Fatherlee, the seizing child with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, has shady undertones.. Claytons parents are Azita Karimkhany Fatheree and George C Fatheree. In this article Azita talks of how she stored her son's cord blood. Why would they take their son to Rader for so called fetal stem cells, instead of using his own cord blood. Clayton starting have seizures on mid 2002 and does not appear on the Medra wbsite until Nov 24th, 2005, over three years since the fisrt occurance. Was he cured miraculously by William Rader. Remember Lennox Gastaut is a roller coaster ride with periods where the child is seizure free. If the pattern hold true, the facts are all a maniputation of time and recovery minus alternative treatments that may have taken place in the three years.

The whole thing is a scam. I actually thought these people wrongly believed Rader helped their kids.
They are a well scripted group of con artists. It breaks my heart the money they have manipulated out of people.

Not to mention the the bad name false clinics like Medra give to the legitimate researchers and doctors.

Oky I have equally been highly interested in stemcell treatment to the point of packing my bag to go for treatment, becouse I was told that I can walk again after the treatment.

Aka, the reason they're telling you you can walk again is to convince you to give them your money. It's an advertising ploy much like saying 4 blades are better than 3 in a razor.

They do it a lot here in the states because most Americans are, well, kinda stupid. "If it's advertised on TV it must work" is the consensus and quite frankly the average American WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING if it's properly marketed and presented in a bright colorful package.
Put 49.95 on it instead of 50.00 and they thing they're getting one hell of a bargain. Tell 'em they can have 2 for 99.89 and they'll take 'em both and think they got away with murder. Of course when they get home and realize they've purchased 2 of something that will last a lifetime when they only needed 1, they will simply toss the other one in a closet till garage sale time comes around and then sell it to a neighbor for 50 cents.

Do what you will there big guy but don't expect results. Expectations are resentments waiting to happen.

There are more ways to separate desperate people from their money than grains of sand on a beach. If there was a legitimate medical technique enabling people to walk again after an SCI, places like The Mayo Clinic or Johns Hopkins would be behind it. And since they aren't, there isn't any such right now.

Save your money for a nice vacation, a bottle of good Tequila, scotch, or whatever 'relaxant' you enjoy. It's a nice time of year, the sun sets late...

My husband went to Healthsouth in Tucson, AZ. Not recommened at all. He got an infection from his surgrgy in his back then had to go back the hospital for more surgery. After 10 days there, they sent him o t nursing home to heal, the he went to Northwest Oro Valley rehab. It was better than Healthsouth. But as many of you have said, they really don't know how to work with SCI patients. We are looking to send him to the Barrow clinic in Phx , Az. It has only been 4 months since his rsce boat accident.

My husband also went to health south in Tucson Az. I am finding that there are NO facilities in Tucson who can deal with SCI. Let me know how Barrows goes. We started out at Barrows, I think his vocal cord damage was a result of leaving his ventilator in too long, who knows for sure. I haven't found a treatment place that will take him without costing us more than we make in a lifetime. Good luck to you.
