How do you view your life now, after this life changing event? Do you want to stay an innocent bystander, on the sidelines watching your life pass you by? Or would you like to be an enthusiastic participant, striving to improve the quality of life post injury?

The NHS deals effectively with the initial post trauma phase ensuring the best medical treatment. However, once discharged it becomes a different story....... the continued development is only to the body above the injury level, whilst keeping an eye on the bits below…just in case!

Standing Start aims to provide an improved quality of life for people with spinal cord injuries using methods of repetitive movement developed by Project Walk. These intense exercise-based recovery programmes, coupled with education, support and encouragement aim to reactivate the nervous system.

If you would like to know more, then please read about the programme and the testimonials from those who have taken part and are already feeling the positive effects both mentally and physically.

The facility is based just south of Cambridge close to M11, rail linmks and Stansted Airport
