Hi there,

Haven't posted in a while as I've just stgarted uni and am incredibly busy but I did a fairly routine skin check as I haven't done one for a while and noticed an issue.

I have a red mark on my side, it is darkish red but goes when I press on it and is very spotty, there are a number of small spots dotted all over it. The spots coupled with the fact it's on an area I don't sit on makes me think it is more than likely not a pressure issue...but what could it be? A reaction to something? What would cause it? I have had similarish looking marks before but this is approximately 2 inches in length by half an inch in width and is kind of boomerangish shaped.

Any ideas? I've got some sudocream, will that do it any good? Do you think it's worth worrying about?

Thanks, Ryan

Hi, if it goes away in a couple of days no biggie but if it doesn't you might want to see a dermatologist. It could be a bruise or a scrape.

I put some sudocream on i last night and it's much less red now as well as smaller, still got the spots though. I'll keep an eye on it and keep applying sudocream :-)

Thanks, Ryan.
