Hello everyone. I have not been on in a long time but felt i needed to share what I've accomplished over the last few months.

I was alotted 20 visits to physical therapy for 2008. I had to spread them out over the past 10 months. The goals my therapists had set were as follows: 50 feet walking with walker and AFO braces, thats it. As of last week at my final session and evaluation, I can go 170 feet with a walker and go up and down one flight of steps.

I wanted to share because I know there are a lot of people like myself almost 2 years ago, who are lurking and newly injured or going through rehab. I can't stress this enough, IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE SOME HOPE OF RECOVERY, EVEN PARTIAL, WORK YOUR ASS OFF!. I am proof. It's hard and painful, but if you have faith and hopefully help from friends or loved ones, you can accomplish your goals.

peace to you all and continued good luck.

Yup, I concur, the harder we work in therapy the healthier we'll be. It's no different than being AB. Exercise is important. I have PT three times a week, 1 - 1.5 hrs a day. It keeps me exhausted and perpetually sore but it pays off in ability.
