Has anyone out there ever heard of and/or had an Interstim device implanted? If so, is it working? I have discussed this with my Urologist today. The hope is to have an easier time to empty my bladder. I'm a C5-6 Quad and my bladder refuses to empty at night. IC' s are not even working! Been having a real tough time with UTI's, even after a sphincterotomy. I've been getting my wife to push/force Urine out by pushing on my stomach. It is the only thing that works during the night. Hoping that an Interstim Neuromodulater will work! Kinda like a pacemaker for the bladder. Works by stimulating the nerves to the bladder causing it to contract and empty.

Why don't you put in a cath at night? Maybe you have one in and no pressure? I tried the inerstem, didn't work for me. everyones different. would try it if I were you. It might be painful for awhile and have to be taken out, but it might work. It must work on some people or they wouldn't be doing it would they?

I'm new at this site so I hope I'm replying correctly. Interstim did not work for you? Dam. Have you been leaving a cath in at night?m Do you have the same problem as I? I'm going crazy! Do you just tape it there? Or are you referring to a FOLEY?
